Louisa Food Products, Inc. is seeking an effective Materials Manager who will be responsible for the supply chain strategy to support the company's mission.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of people to provide effective production scheduling, strategic purchasing, logistics coordination, and accurate inventory management.
- Implement and manage warehouse and inventory system.
- Establish effective planning and purchasing control points.
- Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Manage performance and development of department personnel (approximately 20 employees).
- Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within the department.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this job is self-motivated who can think analytically and make critical decisions in a fast-paced work environment. The individual MUST be highly organized, analytical, and possess the ability to effectively communicate with all personnel at all levels of the operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain or related field.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in warehouse or production planning.
- Microsoft Knowledge: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Food manufacturing background is a plus.
