Purchasing Agent - Maintenance Department

Louisa Food Products, Inc. is looking for a Purchasing Agent to work for its family-owned St. Louis based manufacturing facility. We are looking for a highly organized, self-starter with a desire to learn about the pasta manufacturing industry. The perfect candidate can have some experience, but doesn't need an extensive background in either field. We are willing to train the right person. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Purchasing of parts and supplies for maintenance department.
• Set inventory minimum levels and optimum purchasing price points on production support supplies.
• Order, schedule, and maintain inventory of maintenance parts while taking vendor lead times, service life/machine usage and economic order opportunities into consideration.
• Organization of inventory parts and assist implementation of parts management system.
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or relevant work experience
• High level of self-motivation, with strong integrity & ethics
• Excellent organization and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Communicate in a professional manner and comfortable dealing with all levels of the organization
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with flexibility and openness to changing priorities
• Self-starter who takes initiative, acts with urgency and is solution oriented
